WhatsApp welcome and away message examples for business

A good first message tells people they are in the right place, and what happens next. The WhatsApp Business app lets you set a greeting message and an away message for when you cannot reply. This page gives you examples to copy.

Whatslynk does not set those messages for you. What it does is make the first message the customer sends: a link or QR code opens a chat with a message already typed in, so the conversation starts with context.

Start from this template

Add your number and the message below is already written for you. Change any words you like, then create your link and QR code.

Opens a WhatsApp chat with your number or username, with an optional ready-made message.

A short note works best. Very long messages can make the link hard to open. Personalised messages with variables like {{name}} are a Premium feature.

What to know

  • A welcome that sets expectations

  • An away message that does not lose people

  • A thank-you that invites a review

“Thanks for your order, [name]! If you enjoyed it, we would love a review.”
