A QR code poster for your WhatsApp group

If you run a WhatsApp group for a class, a church, a club, a team or a neighborhood, the hardest part is getting people in. Sending the invite link by message works for people you already know, but a poster, a screen or a flyer reaches everyone else.

Whatslynk wraps your group's invite link in a short link and a printable QR poster. People point their phone at the poster and the invite opens. You can see how many people open the link, and if you move to a new group you change the destination without reprinting anything.

What to know

  • Join by scanning

Anyone with a phone camera can scan the poster and open your group's invite. Nothing to install and no number to save.

  • A poster that says what to do

The QR card comes with the words Scan to join our group. Change the headline, the colors and the name to suit your group.

  • Count the opens

The short link counts clicks. Scans of the QR code are counted separately on Premium, so you can see which poster brings people in.

  • Change the group later

If the invite link changes or you start a new group, edit the destination. The poster you already printed and the short link keep working.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Copy your group's invite link

In WhatsApp, open the group, tap its name, choose Invite via link and copy it. You need to be a group admin.

  2. 2

    Paste it into Whatslynk

Choose Group, paste the invite link and create your short link. You get a QR code straight away.

  3. 3

    Start from the group template

In your dashboard, choose Group or community when you make a page or a QR card. It fills in the headline and a button that says Join the group, and you can change every word.

  4. 4

Print it and put it where people are

Download the poster and print it, or show it on a screen. Test it once with your own phone before you print many copies.
